Absolutely love these snacks!

I ordered a One-Time Gift Box and it was fantastic! Everything was packed so carefully and the selection of Japanese cookies and Pocky varieties was incredible. I even got some seasonal limited snacks that were so unique. The quality is top-notch. I just wish they had more options for specific dietary needs, but still, I'm already planning my next order!

Awesome snack variety!

I ordered the Premium Family Pack and it was so much fun! The box was packed with all kinds of yummy stuff, including some really cool DIY Candy Kits. I loved trying all the different Ramune Candy and Savory Japanese Chips. Everything felt super authentic. I'm already planning my next subscription, this is definitely my new favorite snack delivery!

Always reliable snack box

This is my third time ordering from Freedom Japanese Market, and they're always consistent. I went with the Premium Family Pack this time; it was just as good as my previous Puchi Packs. The variety is excellent, and the snacks are always fresh. My only minor thing is I sometimes get similar items across different boxes, but overall, it's why I keep coming back.

Fun box, cool candies

So I tried the Puchi Pack to see what it was all about. It was pretty fun! Got some weird but good candies and a few savory corn snacks that were surprisingly tasty. The DIY Candy Kit was a laugh to put together with my friend. Shipping took a bit, like 10 days to reach me, but it was worth the wait. Definitely a nice little treat.

Good snacks, fast delivery

Got the Original Snack Box. Snacks were fresh and interesting. Shipping was quick, arrived in 6 days to California. The English snack guide was helpful, but I wish there was more of the savory stuff.

Good first box

I got the Original Snack Box as a one-time thing to try it out. It came pretty fast, like 10 days to my place in California. The snacks were fun, especially the Pocky varieties. Will probably order again sometime.

Interesting snacks, delivery was slow

I ordered a Puchi Pack to see what it was like. The snacks themselves were pretty cool, definitely some unique items like the Wasabi Peas and some different Rice Crackers I hadn't tried before. The English Snack Guide was helpful for understanding what everything was. However, it took almost three weeks to get here, which felt a bit long even for international shipping. I know it comes from Japan, but I've had other things arrive quicker. I might try them again but I'll manage my expectations for delivery time.

Great snacks, quick delivery

I ordered the Premium Family Pack and it came with a good mix of sweet and savory. The Dagashi Assortment was a real hit. Delivery took about two weeks to my place in California, which was faster than I expected from Japan. My only minor issue was the English snack guide; some descriptions were a little vague, but I figured it out.

hey, was thinking about getting one of these snack boxes. how long does shipping usually take to, like, California?

A Andrew White 2 weeks ago
Mine usually takes about 2-3 weeks to get to the west coast, I think it depends a bit on customs but that's been my experience for a while.

A Amanda N. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I'm in Arizona and it's usually around the 15-20 day mark. They ship from Japan so it's not super fast but worth the wait.

hey, trying to decide between this and Bokksu. anyone got experience with both? wondering about the snack variety and if one feels more 'authentic' than the other.

H Hannah Johnson 3 weeks ago
I've done both! Freedom Japanese Market definitely feels more curated and like, homey? The snacks are super authentic, not just the mainstream stuff. Bokksu was good too but I felt like I saw a lot of the same things over time.

B Brittany Wright 3 weeks ago
yeah, freedom japanese market is legit. way better than a lot of the others that feel super commercial. the family vibe really comes through. bokksu is fine but this one wins on uniqueness for me.

Thinking of trying this out, but I'm worried about committing. Can you cancel the subscription easily if it's not for me?

A Alex Flores 1 month ago
Yeah, you can cancel whenever. I paused mine once without any issues, so you're not locked in.

B Ben 1 month ago
Pretty straightforward to cancel. Just log into your account, and there should be an option. No big deal.

Are the snacks actually authentic, like stuff you'd find in Japan? Or is it more generalized Asian snacks?

M Melissa W. 2 weeks ago
Super authentic! They pack it themselves directly from Japan so it's all legit Japanese stuff. No random snacks from other countries mixed in.
6
B Brittany D. 2 weeks ago
Definitely authentic. They even have seasonal things you wouldn't easily find outside Japan, which is pretty cool. They do a good job sourcing.

what's the deal with the first box discount? i signed up for the newsletter but didn't see anything specific. is it a code or automatic?

D David Torres 3 weeks ago
they usually have a code for new subscribers, it's not always automatic. sometimes it pops up on the site, or you get it in an email after signing up for the newsletter, check your spam maybe?
1
G Grace M. 3 weeks ago
yeah, most codes are for new folks. look around the site, sometimes it's right on the homepage banner or in the checkout flow for your first order.

how long does it usually take for a box to get to California? planning to order one for my friend's birthday next month, trying to time it right.

H Hannah Campbell 4 weeks ago
mine usually takes about 2-3 weeks to get to the west coast. depends on customs too, but that's a good estimate.

L Lisa M. 4 weeks ago
i'm in LA and it was usually on the longer side for me, like 3-4 weeks sometimes. definitely order with plenty of buffer time!

anyone know if they do any special discounts for Black Friday or around Christmas? trying to get a gift subscription.

O Olivia 1 month ago
they usually do! i remember last year they had something for Black Friday, like a percentage off longer subscriptions. keep an eye out closer to the dates.
3
B Brandon Allen 1 month ago
yep, they definitely participate in the holiday sales. i snagged a good deal around christmas for a 3-month sub last year.

are the snacks in the Puchi pack just smaller portions of what's in the Premium, or totally different stuff?

D Danielle 3 weeks ago
The Puchi is smaller and has fewer items, but it's usually a selection from the same pool of snacks. So you might get some of the same types of things, just not as many.
3
C Chris T. 3 weeks ago
it's mostly about the number of snacks you get. puchi is like a sampler, premium is a full box experience. the themes and types of snacks are generally similar though.
